With yesterday being St. Patrick’s Day, I was totally looking forward to trying my first ever green beer.
Before I get to my thoughts on that green stuff, some of you may recall my last post when I talked about wearing green on St. Patty’s Day without having to look like a leprechaun. I didn’t think I was going to, but I ended up finding something (yes it was Eunice’s…) green that I liked. The most green I wore came across in my nails and my …eyeshadow. Yes I wore green eyeshadow! I was hesitant at first, but I blended it in with some dark forest green and some brown as a highlighter so I think it neutralized the brightness. What do you guys think? Hopefully it was subtle enough to match with my outfit, but not be too bright to look tacky! Another reason I had to go with green eyeshadow is because really, how often do I get to wear green eyeshadow!
Nothing much else to say about my St. Patrick’s Day inspired outfit (which I have to admit, was a bit of a lackluster attempt), so let’s move onto green beer. One word: Overrated! The green beer I had last night was Budlight with green colouring in it. It was almost difficult to drink–maybe because I don’t like Budlight–but don’t get me wrong; I love the idea of green beer for St. Patrick’s Day. It’s so fun to drink that radioactive-looking liquid, chugging it with everyone else who is Irish for the day, and seeing if your tongue turns green after a few pints. All I have to say is the green beer wasn’t what I had expected. I’m not sure what I had expected, but it sure as hell wasn’t Budlight haha. Oh and if you guys were in downtown like I was, you know how insane it was! I usually don’t go out for St. Patrick’s Day, but I think this is going to be an annual tradition for me from now on. The only shitty part was trying to get a cab out of downtown…but that rant is another blog post on its own….
Anyways, to end it off on a positive note, I hope you guys got to celebrate St. Patrick’s, whether it was by wearing green or saying cheers with some green beers in hand!
